The Giraffe Conservation, Kenya
This conservation was made for the Rothschild giraffe, which are very close to extinction. The conservation was great and they actually have a program set up to educate children of Kenya from the slums, they raise money and bring them here and to the elephant orphanage and to the Nairobi national park. We got to feed the giraffes here, there tongues are incredibly long and feel like sandpaper, very fun. The Rothschild giraffe is endangered because sadly the Kenyan military used to use them for target practice and many were murdered, this has been stopped and they are educating the people of Kenya about their wildlife.
The Elephant Orphanage, Kenya
The most amazing elephant orphanage is located just outside of Nairobi. These caretakers in the picture dedicate 5 years of their lives to taking care of an elephant. Each elephant is assigned its own caretaker, they feed the elephant, play with them and even sleep with them!.. i believe they are separated by a small wall for protection.

Lamu, Kenya
This place was incredible, no vehicles- only donkeys for work and transportation and had a very old world feel. It was similar to Zanzibar in the way that you were able to get lost in between tall buildings with winding paths leading you all over the place, but quiet, clean and not quite so hot. Absolutely loved our time here and we were able to score a pretty nice room, at the top of our building with a massive patio. Gorgeous!!
